The Oxley Foundation says it will donate $30 million for the proposed Tulsa School of Community Medicine.
The planned school will be a partnership between the University of Tulsa and the University of Oklahoma-Tulsa. The universities say they're creating the four-year community medical education program to help address Oklahoma's physician shortage.
Oxley Foundation trustee R.H. Harbaugh says the gift is the largest commitment the foundation has ever undertaken
The first class at the Tulsa School of Community Medicine is expected to start in fall 2015.
