GOP To Continue Resistance

By Associated Press

Tulsa, OK – Okla. House speaker: resistance by GOP will go on

TULSA, Okla. (AP) Oklahoma House Speaker Chris Benge says the Republicans who control that chamber will continue doing all they can to resist Obama administration initiatives in health care, the environment and energy.

Benge told the Tulsa Republican Club on Friday that he expects the House to vote next week on a resolution calling for Attorney General Drew Edmondson to join in a lawsuit challenging federal health-care overhaul legislation recently approved by Congress.

Benge said President Barack Obama had delivered on one of his promises, to change the country. According to Benge, Obama has changed it for the worse, but hopefully not changed it to the point it cannot be undone.
