Opening statements are Tuesday in New York in the first trial testing the legal boundaries of claims over faulty General Motors ignition switches.
A jury was picked Monday in the civil case involving Robert Scheuer of Tulsa, who says an air bag failed to deploy in a crash because of a defective switch.
