Glenpool Man Facing Charge of Threatening IRS Agent

TULSA, Okla. (AP) — A 47-year-old Glenpool man is charged with threatening an Internal Revenue Service agent who was auditing his tax filings after his attorney reported the alleged threat.

David Anderson is charged in federal court with attempting to interfere with administration of the internal revenue laws.

The Tulsa World reports that Anderson's attorney on the federal charge sought to have the charge dismissed on the grounds that it's vague and doesn't establish that the alleged crime occurred in the court's jurisdiction. The motion was denied.

An investigator's affidavit says an attorney for Anderson in the IRS audit told the agent that Anderson had said he was considering harming several people and mentioned the IRS auditor by name and that he had tried to follow the agent home after an audit meeting.
