The collapsing price of oil has pushed gasoline prices in Tulsa below $2.00 a gallon for the first time since the recession. The price of oil hit a 52-week low at $53. 60 this morning. Back in June,  the price was nearly double at $102 a barrel.

State officials are expressing concern about  oil prices. The drop is beginning to impact state revenue, much of which comes from taxes on oil production revenue. The decline could impact the amount of money lawmakers have to spend.
