Fred Perry to Resign from Tulsa County Commission

KWGS News File Photo

Tulsa County Commissioner Fred Perry announced this morning he will  resign July 8th.  He cited health related problems for the reason. Perry says he had a heart procedure in November, and that prompted his decision to step down early. The resignation announcement was made at this  morning's County Commission meeting so all the department heads could hear the news at the same time.

The resignation would be 14-months before the end of his term. It's up to the Governor to set an election to choose a successor for Perry.
