Former Oklahoma School Teacher Moved to Kansas Prison

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — A former Oklahoma schoolteacher who pleaded guilty to child pornography and exploitation charges has been moved to a prison in Kansas.

Former McCloud third-grade teacher Kimberly Crain was convicted in January of multiple counts of sex crimes against children, many of them former students, and sentenced to 45 years in prison by a Pottawatomie County judge.

The Oklahoman reports Crain was incarcerated at the Mabel Bassett Correctional Center in McLoud before she was transferred. A spokesman for the Department of Corrections, Jerry Massie, says that when people are moved out of state it's usually out of our fear for their safety.

Prosecutors allege Crain took photos of her students wearing tank tops and underwear and shared them with retired professor Gary Doby, who was sentenced to life in prison.
