Flooding Update

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Cars have been nearly covered by floodwaters at a shopping mall parking lot in Oklahoma City, where some roads became impassable.

State transportation officials say at least 15 highways across the state have been closed because of flooding from a powerful storm.

In the community of Elk City, a firefighter says four and a-half inches of rain has fallen on an area that had already been saturated by rain earlier in the week.

Officials with the Rocklahoma music festival in Pryor, about 50 miles west of Tulsa, urged attendees to head to their cars or the nearby camping area to wait out the incoming weather.
