Pawhuska, OK – Firefighter charged with blaze where remains found

(Information in the following story is from: Tulsa World, http://www.tulsaworld.com)

PAWHUSKA, Okla. (AP) A firefighter in Osage County is accused of igniting a fire where a person's remains were found later.

The Tulsa World reports that Dustin Koelliker faces felony charges of first-degree arson and endangering human life during arson. Authorities charge that Koelliker started a fire Aug. 4 that destroyed one home and damaged another near Prue, northwest of Tulsa.

Investigators would find the remains of an unknown person inside a bus that was also burned. Samples from the remains are being tested for a DNA match.

Koelliker isn't accused of being involved in the person's death.

The 39-year-old has been fired by the Sand Creek fire department.
