DURANT, Okla. (AP) — The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a man and his young son escaped injury when the boat they were on exploded on Lake Texoma in southern Oklahoma.

The OHP says 35-year-old Eric Henry and 2-year-oild Huck Henry — both from Caddo — were thrown from the vessel when it exploded in more than 40 feet of water on Friday afternoon.

The patrol says both were wearing flotation devices and were rescued from the water by another boater.

Investigators say the cause of the explosion has not been determined.
