Tulsa, OK – A short pursuit ends with a fatal police shooting.
An officer was trying to make a routine traffic stop overnight when the suspect started speeding away from 46th street and North Peoria. A few blocks away, the driver jumped out of the car and aimed a pistol at the officer. The officer fired.
The suspect was dead at the scene. The other people in the car have been detained and an investigation is underway. The officer is 29-year-old Adam Dawson. He is a four-year veteran of the department. Shot and killed was 20-year-old LaKeith Roland.
