Fatal Car Crash Near Owasso

A 41-year-old Tulsa woman is dead after crashing her car into a pick-up truck driven by an Owasso man.

The incident happened Friday night on 76th Street North near Memorial, one mile east of the Cherokee Industrial Park. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Anika Miles was dead at the scene from massive injuries. The OHP says she was trapped in the wreckage for almost two hours.

Miles was apparently driving west in the eastbound lanes when she hit a pick-up driven by 27-year-old Beau Wells. Wells was rushed to the hospital in critical conditions.

The drivers were not wearing seatbelts, according to the Highway Patrol report.
