OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin will speak to legislators from across the country this week at the annual spring meeting of a conservative group.
Fallin will speak later this week at the American Legislative Exchange Council's Spring Task Force Summit. The Washington-based group of legislators and corporations that advocates for free-market policies will meet Thursday and Friday at the Cox Convention Center in Oklahoma City.
Fallin says she plans to discuss her efforts to slash taxes and consolidate state government, along with the state's economic growth and low unemployment rate.
The annual summit is touted as an educational opportunity to bring legislators together and discuss public policy trends and research.
