Fallin Formally Begins 2014 Re-Election Campaign

KWGS News-File photo

Governor  Mary Fallin formally announces plans to run for re-election in 2014 with campaign stops scheduled in Tulsa, Oklahoma City and Lawton.

Fallin started with a breakfast event today at the Old School Bagel Cafe in Tulsa, followed by stops at the Oklahoma History Center in Oklahoma City and the Museum of the Great Plains in Lawton.

Fallin's announcement is no surprise as she's been actively raising money all year.

She reported raising about $550,000 during the second quarter this year and having more than $970,000 in her campaign fund at the end of June.

The only candidate to announce plans to run is Norman Democrat R.J. Harris, who previously ran for Congress as a Republican and as an independent.
