Lawton, OK – Okla man accused of using Facebook to make threats

LAWTON, Okla. (AP) A Lawton man has been charged with using his Facebook page to make threats against nursing homes and day care centers.

Comanche County prosecutors have charged 28-year-old Joshua Chafton with a misdemeanor count of threatening to perform an act of violence.

Chafton was arrested Wednesday. Court records did not indicate that he has an attorney.

A police affidavit filed in the case says Chafton wrote online that he was "thinking about shooting up an old folks home." The affidavit says Chafton also wrote that he was thinking about "a drive-by at a day care."
