Mayor speaks at news conference

Tulsa, OK – A funding spat in Washington D.C. puts some major Tulsa construction projects on hold. It's not the battle over the debt ceiling, it's a fight over Federal Aviation Administration dollars .

At a Tulsa international news conference, Mayor Dewey Bartlett outlined delays in airport projects that are costing Tulsa money and potentially, several hundred jobs

The mayor says there are millions of dollars worth of improvements on hold, including a six-and-a-half million dollar project to reconstruct the main runway. In addition, he says there more than three-and-a-half million dollars in grant reimbursement requests being delayed.
