JAY, Okla. (AP) — Delaware County officials say a former Jay middle school principal has been found intoxicated and passed out in a car wash in Jay.
The Tulsa World reports that 40-year-old Roger Carroll of Eucha was arrested on a complaint of actual physical control of a motor vehicle Thursday afternoon.
Sheriff Harlan Moore says Carroll would be released on his own recognizance. Jay Police Chief Mike Shambaugh says Carroll tested 0.14 on a breath alcohol test. The legal limit is 0.08. It was not immediately clear if Carroll is represented by an attorney.
Carroll was acquitted of manslaughter and reckless operation of a vessel after a 2012 boating death at Grand Lake. He was arrested in September after he allegedly refused to pay a $94 tab at a Bartlesville restaurant.
