Tulsa, OK – Ambulance collides with car

TULSA, Okla. (AP) An ambulance and a private vehicle have collided in north Tulsa.

The Emergency Medical Services Authority says the collision occurred about 4 p.m. Friday at an intersection. The ambulance, which had its emergency lights and sirens activated, was en route to a 911 medical call at the time of the crash.

A 52-year-old woman who was riding as a passenger in the non-yielding vehicle was injured. Another ambulance transported her to Hillcrest Medical Center. She was listed in fair condition. Neither of the other two vehicle passengers nor the paramedics were injured.

A third ambulance responded to the 911 medical call and transported that patient, a 63-year-old man with a medical complaint, to Hillcrest in fair condition.
