Tulsa, OK – Tulsa woman, 95, beaten during home invasion

TULSA, Okla. (AP) A 95-year-old Tulsa woman is recovering after police say she was beaten during a home-invasion robbery.

Police say a man broke into the woman's home early Saturday while she was asleep, struck her in the face and body, and demanded money and guns.

Police records show the robber took a coin purse, a BB gun and $100 in cash.

A neighbor called police, who arrested 51-year-old Danny Wilson about two blocks away.

Wilson was being held in the Tulsa County Jail on complaints of first-degree burglary and aggravated assault and battery, both after a former felony conviction. His bond was set at $44,000.

The victim was taken to a Tulsa hospital in fair condition.
