WILBURTON, Okla. (AP) — An EagleMed medical helicopter has made an emergency landing in Oklahoma less than a month after another of the company's helicopters crashed in the state, killing the pilot and injuring two crew members.
The McAlester News-Capital reports there were no injuries as a result of Monday's emergency landing at Latimer County General Hospital in Wilburton.
Latimer County Emergency Management Director Pam Hirrill said an infant patient on board the helicopter was picked up by another medical helicopter and flown to Tulsa. The child's condition was not released.
EagleMed spokesman Jim Gregory said the helicopter was forced to turn back after takeoff to check a malfunctioning gauge.
An EagleMed helicopter crashed March 12 west of Eufaula, killing pilot Matt Mathews and injuring paramedic Ryan Setzkorn and nurse Kim Ramsey.
