Tulsa, OK – Tulsa's Trash to Energy plant takes on a new role. Plant owner Covanta and the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics are partnering with law enforcement to destroy unwanted prescription drugs.

Bureau Director Darrell Weaver says Oklahoma is setting over dose records. He urges people to safely dispose of unwanted drugs.

The drugs are collected from drop off locations across the state, brought to the plant in west Tulsa and incinerated.
