Norman, OK – 4 family members to be indicted on drug charges

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) A federal judge says there is enough evidence to indict four members of a Norman family on charges they conspired to possess and distribute the painkiller oxycodone.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Valerie Couch listed to testimony from FBI agent Andrew Farabow during a preliminary hearing before making her ruling Wednesday concerning Deborah Compton and her sons Joshua, Jeremy and Zacharry Compton.

Another member of the family, Steve Compton, is scheduled to appear before Couch on Monday on conspiracy charges.

The Comptons were among 44 people arrested on Dec. 11 after what authorities have said was a year-long investigation.

Steve Compton owns Compton's Air Quality Experts. He has told the Norman Transcript that he wants people to allow the judicial system to run its course and remember that those charged are considered innocent until proven otherwise.
