Bokoshe, OK – Authorities look for suspect in double killing

BOKOSHE, Okla. (AP) Le Flore County authorities say they're looking for a "person of interest" in what they're calling a double homicide near Bokoshe.

Sheriff Bruce Curnutt says authorities received a call about 9 p.m. Wednesday from a relative of the victims. Deputies aren't releasing the identity of the two people who died but have said one is male and one is female.

Curnett identified 50-year-old Kevin Statham as a person of interest in the case. Curnett says Statham is believed to be driving a pickup that belonged to the two people who died. The 1993 Chevrolet pickup is green on the top and bottom with a tan stripe in between.

Deputies say Statham has ties to the Fort Smith, Ark., area. Fort Smith is about 25 miles from Bokoshe.
