TULSA, Okla. (AP) — Hertz Corp. says that with its recent acquisition of Tulsa-based Dollar Thrifty, the company will consolidate its headquarters in Florida.
Park Ridge, N.J.-based Hertz said Tuesday the move will place its headquarters in Estero, Fla., near Fort Myers on the Gulf Coast.
Hertz acquired Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group in November.
Hertz says it will continue to run its information technology, customer service and financial support services in Tulsa.
Hertz also says it will benefit from the efficiencies that will follow from having the companies in one place and from having its hub in tourist-heavy Florida.
The Tulsa World reported in 2009 that Dollar Thrifty had 7,000 employees, 700 of them in Tulsa.
