Wewoka, OK – Hundreds mourn slain deputies
WEWOKA, Okla. (AP) Hundreds turned out for a candlelight vigil to honor two Seminole County deputies who were shot to death.,
The 30 minute service on the lawn of the Seminole County Courthouse included prayers, thoughts from county officials and a letter of condolence from Seminole County jail inmates.
Deputies Chase Whitebird and Marvin Williams were shot and killed Sunday while serving an arrest warrant in Seminole.
Authorities have arrested 26-year-old Ezekiel Holbert who is now charged with first-degree murder in the case.
