Oklahoma Democrats are skewering Governor Fallin over her refusal to expand Medicaid in the state. House Minority Leader Scott Inman feels the Governor’s priorities are wrong. He says Health Care is more important than a tax cut.
SCOTT INMAN: "Over that same eight year period that the Governor says Medicaid acceptance would cost us $680-million, her income tax plan, that she has offered this year, would cost the state $1.4-billion. So, somehow, we can't afford to take care of hospitals and our citizens to the tune of $687-million dollars, but we can afford to give back, in $39 checks, $1.4-billion over that same eight year period."
The Democrats are calling on the Governor accept the federal expansion. That is something she has said she will not do.
