(Information in the following story is from: Sapulpa Daily Herald , http://www.sapulpadailyherald.com/)

DRUMRIGHT, Okla. (AP) A judge has ordered a trial for a 19-year-old man charged with second-degree murder in the electrocution of an 18-year-old with whom he was allegedly stealing copper in Drumright.

Trial is set for Sept. 28 in Creek County for Jacob Matherly of Drumright. He has pleaded not guilty.

The Sapulpa Daily Herald reports that Matherly is charged in the May 27 death of Cody Holland.

Police say the teens were stealing copper from a well site when Holland lost his balance while holding a ground wire and fell onto a transformer with a positive charge.

Holland's father and stepmother testified at a Thursday hearing. The stepmother said she dropped the teens off at a dirt road a half mile from the well, but didn't know what they were doing.
