Dead Giraffe was Expecting

Tulsa, OK – The giraffe that died at the Tulsa Zoo after suffering a broken neck in transit from Ohio, was expecting. That announcement came this morning at a Tulsa City Council meeting. The Council is looking into the giraffe's death. Tulsa Zoo director Terrie Correll said the pregnancy was discovered during a necropsy of the giraffe. The giraffe was having her neck X-rayed when she died.

Tulsa City Councilor Rick Westcott wants the council to take legal action against the transport company which brought the animal to Tulsa.
