DA Rules Security Guard Was Justified

KWGS News

TULSA, Okla. (AP) — The Tulsa County District Attorney's Office says a security guard was justified in last month's shooting that left a 21-year-old man paralyzed.

Tulsa police say Monroe Bird III was in a vehicle last month with a teenage girl at an apartment complex when a security guard asked for their identification.

Ricky Stone told police Bird backed up the vehicle, striking him, and he responded by shooting into the rear window.
