Crews Recover Body of Tulsa Teen Who Drowned

TULSA, Okla. (AP) — Authorities have recovered the body of a Tulsa teenager who drowned in Keystone Lake while trying to save two friends who were struggling in the water.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 18-year-old Brendan Earl was with friends Thursday afternoon at the Lake Country Swim Beach when he tried to help two teenagers who accidentally waded into deep water.

The highway patrol says Earl jumped in the lake to help the teenagers but went under the water. His body was recovered late Thursday.

Authorities say the two female teens were pulled from the water by a bystander. An 18-year-old woman was revived at the scene by emergency responders and taken to a Tulsa hospital, where she is in stable condition. A 17-year-oldg girl was treated and released from the hospital.
