The Creek Nation is buying more land.  Less than a month after purchasing the River Walk Crossing in Jenks, the Creek Nation again expands its land holdings.

This time it is the Okmulgee Country Club. Chief George Tiger says the property will be used to help the tribe diversify it economy. The tribe paid $3.6-million for the property. The Chief says an economic study will be conducted on the best use of the property. There is no guarantee it will stay a golf course.

Before civil rights, the country club was a Whites only facility.
