By AP

Vinita, OK – 3 killed in head-on crash with semi in Oklahoma

VINITA, Okla. (AP) The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says three people were killed when the car they were in crashed head-on with a tractor-trailer rig near Vinita in northeastern Oklahoma.

Troopers say 18-year-old Kyle Samuel Lee and 20-year-old Sean Roper of Jay and 20-year-old Megan Cooper of Eucha died in the collision just after 12:30 p.m. Monday.

Investigators say the three were in a car driven by Lee that was weaving and crossed the center line on Oklahoma Highway 2 crashing into the oncoming semi. The truck driver was treated and released at the scene.

Troopers say they don't know why the car was weaving.
