Crackdown on People Speeding in Tulsa Construction Areas

Watch those construction zones! The City of Tulsa is cracking down on speeders in areas under construction. Tulsa Traffic Safety Coordinator Craig Murray says the concentrated effort is all this week.

Fines from Tulsa Police start at $150. Those fines could double if you are stopped by the Highway Patrol. A judge could also sentence you to ten days in jail.

Last year, 13 people were killed in construction zone accidents in Oklahoma. Two of those killed were construction workers.
