OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — The federal courthouse in Oklahoma City is to be dedicated next week to honor the longest sitting judge on the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals, which includes Oklahoma.
The February 12th ceremony for Judge William J. Holloway, Junior will be held in the ceremonial courtroom of the renamed courthouse.
Holloway died in April 2014 after suffering from a short respiratory illness. He was 90.
President Lyndon B. Johnson nominated Holloway to the 10th Circuit in 1968. Holloway served as chief judge from 1984 to 1991 and attained senior status in 1992.
The 10th Circuit Court of Appeals covers Colorado, Kansas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Utah and Wyoming.
