Tulsa, Ok –
Despite having his veto overridden, Mayor Bartlett is still refusing to spend money. That is frustrating to Council Chair Rick Westcott.

"I think it does a great disservice to the citizens of Tulsa. The City Council spent weeks discussing budget options. One of the things we can up with was this budget amendment to the Mayor's proposed budget, which would do several things that the citizens need", Westcott said. "For the mayor to refuse to allocate that money is a huge disservice to the citizens of Tulsa."

The money---left over from last year--- would be used for the police helicopters, trimming city furlough days and turning on city street lights.
