Council Pushes Toward Vision Deadline

KWGS News/Tgov

Tulsa City Councilors are working toward a 6 p.m vote to fine tune a Vision Sales Tax renewal package. Councilors met for over two hours this morning and will continues to tweak the proposal right up to vote time.

At issue is who-would-get-how-much. The 3/5ths of a penny proposal would be on the April election ballot if approved by the council tonight.

The proposal fund water in the Arkansas River, various economic development projects and a public safety component.

Join us tomorrow morning for Morning Edition for an update on the council’s action.
