Corps of Engineers Waives Some Veterans Day Fees

Google Street View

TULSA, Okla. (AP) — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers says it's waiving day use fees on Veterans Day for military veterans, active and reserve service members and their families at corps-operated recreation areas in the Tulsa District.

The waiver covers fees for boat launch ramps and swimming beaches on Nov. 11. The waiver does not apply to camping and camping-related services, or fees for specialized facilities such as group picnic shelters. The corps does not charge an entrance fee to its parks.

Tulsa District Chief of Operations Earl Groves says the waiver is a small token of appreciation for veterans, active and reserve service members and their families to come out to one of the Tulsa District lakes to enjoy the day in the outdoors at no charge.
