OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — A morgue cooler where bodies are stored at the state Medical Examiner's Office has been repaired.

Spokeswoman Amy Elliott says a part needed to fix the unit was found and installed.

The agency had to move more than two dozen bodies to refrigeration trucks after an employee noticed the cooling system wasn't working properly early Wednesday. Elliott says there was concern about finding the part to fix the cooler because the equipment is about 40 years old.

The refrigeration trucks from the Department of Health will remain at the Medical Examiner's Office in case another malfunction occurs.

The breakdown comes as legislators are considering how to fund construction of a new site for the agency.
