A Conversation with TPD Chief Chuck Jordan

By Rich Fisher

Tulsa, Oklahoma – On today's program, we're speaking with Chuck Jordan, who was named the 39th Chief of Police for the City of Tulsa last month --- and who's been serving as the TPD's Interim Chief since January of this year (when the former chief, Ron Palmer, was forced to resign). To say that 2010 has been a difficult year for the Tulsa Police Department seems like a serious understatement --- yet Chief Jordan, who first joined the TPD in 1969, remains confident about the force and optimistic about its future. "Ours is a very resilient police department," as Jordan tells us on today's edition of StudioTulsa. Also on our show, commentator Collin Hinds is lamenting how, once again, the nation's news media is generating --- and perpetuating, and thriving on --- the familiar old "Happy Holidays vs. Merry Christmas" debate.
