Tulsa, Oklahoma – On today's edition of StudioTulsa, we speak with the noted education expert Tony Wagner. He is the co-director of the Change Leadership Group (CLG) at the Harvard Graduate School of Education --- and he is speaking tomorrow night (Tuesday the 5th) at a free-to-the-public lecture at 7:30pm on the Holland Hall School campus (in the Branch Theatre of the Walter Arts Center) on East 81st Street in Tulsa. Wagner's appearance is jointly sponsored by Holland Hall and Tulsa Public Schools; he'll be addressing the fundamental importance of interdisciplinary curricula in today's schools, particularly given the new realities of the 21st century. Wagner is also the author of "The Global Achievement Gap: Why Even Our Best Schools Don't Teach the New Survival Skills Our Children Need --- and What We Can Do About It" --- and copies of this book will be on sale at the event. (For more information, call 918-481-1111.) Also on today's show, a concluding commentary: Barry Friedman is on Facebook . . . but he's not exactly thrilled about this.
