Tulsa, OK – TU's College of Law, alongside the National Energy Policy Institute (which is a non-parisan/not-for-profit joint project of TU and the George Kaiser Family Foundation), will soon present the 4th Annual Chesapeake Energy Lecture. It happens at noon tomorrow, the 7th, on the TU campus; it's an invitation-only event. This year's lecture will be a debate on the controversial practice of hydraulic fracturing (or "fracking") between the noted geoscientists David Hughes and Terry Engelder. Our guest on today's StudioTulsa --- Gary Allison, the Vice Dean of the TU College of Law Vice Dean --- will moderate this discussion. Allison brings us up to speed on the key issues related to fracking in America today, and also tells us about the newly created Sustainable Energy and Resources Law (SERL) Board of Visitors at the TU College of Law. Allison is the Director of the SERL program, which works to give TU's law students comprehensive training in the many and various legal and policy issues inherent in sustainably producing and consuming energy and natural resources. As Allison explains on today's ST, SERL's Board of Visitors will meet for the first time on Monday of next week, the 13th.
