Tulsa, OK – Indicted Tulsa officers want charges dropped

TULSA, Okla. (AP) Two Tulsa police officers who were indicted last month say the charges against them should be dismissed.

Attorneys for officers Jeff Henderson and Bill Yelton filed the motion Monday accusing U.S. Attorney Jane Duke of prosecutorial misconduct. Duke is the U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Arkansas assigned to the case.

Duke declined comment.

The motion says Duke threatened to indict witnesses and police personnel if they help Henderson or Yelton in their defense.

Henderson and Yelton face 61 counts of civil rights violations, witness tampering and perjury and Henderson faces additional charges of drug conspiracy.
