Common Law Wife Will NOT Control Crutcher Estate

KWGS News

A Tulsa District Court Judge rules the late Terence Crutcher’s children are his rightful heirs. The ruling excludes the children’s mother from the process.

Franchel Johnson claimed she was Crutcher’s Common-Law wife and should control the estate. However, Judge Kurt Glassco rejected that claim.

Crutcher was shot and killed by a Tulsa Police officer in September. The officer has been charges with 1st Degree Manslaughter. That could open the door to a wrongful death suit by Crutcher’s heirs against the city of Tulsa.

Judge Glassco appointed Austin Brown to be a Special Administrator of the estate.
