Tulsa, OK – With Congress on its August break, Senator Tom Coburn is holding a series of town hall meetings across the state. At a Tulsa Chamber of Commerce breakfast meeting this morning, the senator was asked about what Oklahoma should be doing to revive its economy.

The Republican senator said the state should "copy everything south of the Red River that works." He says Oklahoma should be clear and transparent as to what the limitations on government should be. He also says Oklahomans should challenge the educational establishment so that the outcomes produce students who can compete on the world stage.

In addition to the Tulsa stop, Coburn also spent time Monday in Skiatook.
