The Climate Race

By 7:00 pm Tue-Fri

ON PUBLIC RADIO 89.5 HD1 – Marketplace presents a special series of climate-change coverage, culminating in two weeks of reports during December's UN climate change conference in Copenhagen, Denmark.

The first series, which airs this week, asks "What's at stake?" Tuesday's story shows how climate change is already having real effects in the United States. Wednesday examines potential futures in a much warmer world. Thursday shows how we can solve the problem today, but only if we choose to act. Friday examines how U.S. cities are already planning to adapt to a much different world.

The scientific questions on climate change are settled. The economic, social and political consequences have created a crisis that people can solve but only if they have the right information and take action.
