City of Tulsa Preps for Winter

By KWGS

Tulsa, OK –
Last year's double whammy blizzards prompt changes in how the city of Tulsa deals with winter weather. At a news conference in the Westside city yard, Mayor Bartlett outlines what's being done to more efficiently deal with future winter storms'. He says more trucks, spreaders, and snowplows are being added to the city fleet.

More four-wheel drive vehicles have been purchased, snow and ice clearing routes have been redrawn, and contingency contracts will allow speedier deployment of private contractors to clear streets. Also more salt has been ordered for the city's stockpile.
