City Sales Tax Numbers

By KWGS News

Tulsa, OK – Good news and bad news about the city sales tax collections.

Figures for the city of Tulsa show sales tax collections for the period of December 15th through mid-January to be two million below figures from the same period last year. However, there is some good news. The figures are at budget expectations.

Budget Chief Pat Connelly told the city council earlier this week that the check was expected to be around $17-million. The check was actually $17.7-million dollars.

City officials are crunching the numbers this afternoon. The city has had negative sales tax figures since last April.
