City Report Makes EMSA Recommendations

KWGS News

The EMSA Board hears recommendations from a City of Tulsa internal review. The report is being presented to the board in two days of meetings in Tulsa and Oklahoma City. The Tulsa Management Review report makes four-dozen recommendations for improvements to the operation of the Emergency Medical Services Authority.

The Authority’s Kelli Bruer says most are centered on communication and computer security. The report was critical of communication about the EMSA Total Care Program, which is tied to city’s water bills. There were also recommendations for improving the security of client data on EMSA computers, especially financial data.

Bruer says EMSA got a draft of the report about 60-days ago and tells KWGS over half of the recommendations have already been acted upon.
