City to Auction off Surplus Equipment and Vehicles

The City of Tulsa will hold its surplus property auction on Saturday, May 5, 2012. The auction will start at 9:30 a.m. 

This spring’s auction includes about 170 vehicles, including a six-wheel all-terrain vehicle, six John Deere Gator utility vehicles,  five police motorcycles and an assortment of cars and large and small trucks, tractors, etc.

There are also some low-mileage vehicles included among those to be sold.  Last year, at the direction of the Mayor’s office, the City’s Management Review  Office identified numerous under-utilized vehicles in the City’s fleet and some of those, with mileage as low as 17,000 miles, are in this auction.

Merchandise will be available for viewing on Friday, May 4, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The site will open at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 5, for viewing merchandise before the sale begins.  

Bidders can register at the auction site, but registering online before the auction is encouraged.
