Tulsa, OK – Bernsen the chimpanzee turns four today. Crowds gathered today to celebrate outside the Chimpanzee Connection area at the Tulsa Zoo. The chimps were treated to special frozen snacks and toys as the crowd sang the age old song. Primate Zookeeper Maureen O'Leary says they are watching Bernsen develop into a healthy, active and fun chimpanzee.
The Tulsa Zoo has several more events planned for the summer, and will be adding two new giraffes to the newly renovated giraffe exhibit.
